Get Your New Year in Gear at the Sixers Sports Career Fair

I’m staying with the old school 76ers logo instead of the Sixers – who is with me?

Am I the only one that has a hard time saying Sixers instead of 76ers?

I feel like Dr. J is going to bust into my house and slam a basketball in my face every time I use the abbreviated version of the name. I mean it’s not like Sixers is so much easier to say than 76ers…have we really gotten that lazy? The Tampa Bay Devil Rays removing the Devil seemed appropriate (plus it kind of sounded like a chorus when you said it all together) but from this point forward I’m staying old school, channeling my inner Moses Malone and sticking with 76ers.

Now that we got that out of the way – the 76ers are hosting a sports career fair January 27th at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Sports career fairs are a great opportunity to gain exposure to hiring managers at various sports companies, practice your networking skills and there is always a good chance you will land an actual paying job. Not a bad deal.

Speaking of deals – to gain entry to the sports career fair all you have to do is follow this link and buy discounted tickets to that evenings game vs. the Phoenix Suns. Tickets can be had for a little as $12 (which is cheaper than a beer at some stadiums) and for that low price you will gain access to the sports career fair with attendees like:
