This position is responsible for selling all ticket packages including Full Season, Partial Plans and Groups. The ideal candidate will possess a burning desire to help set the standard for sales and service departments throughout the sports industry. Successful candidates will also display the highest levels of professionalism, pride, and work ethic. Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and an eagerness to learn are a must. Experience in professional sports, service and/or sales experience are all preferred. Bachelors degree is recommended.
Reports To: President and Vice Presidents
Job Reponsibilities:
- Responsible for generating the maximum revenue for the team through the sale of ticket packages. - Proficient in all product lines including season plans, partial plans, arena and premium seating group packages and special events. - Full participation in extensive inbound/outbound call campaigns - Responsible for managing and servicing assigned account bases with the intention to up sell and renew account base on an annual basis. - Proficient in prospecting and creating new sales opportunities for the purpose of increasing revenue. - Required to work outside sales events plus team events for the purpose of promoting sales packages through arena sales tables, promotional programs and prospect invitations to games. - Responsible for follow up phone campaigns involving team direct marketing campaigns. - Providing outstanding service to all incoming customer emails, phone calls, faxes, etc. - Meet all pre-determined activity and sales goals by providing weekly sales reports to management. - Active membership in sales or business organizations including Chambers of Commerce, Sales and Marketing Executive organizations and related networking organizations. - Other duties as assigned by President, Vice Presidents or designated supervisor.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Must be a high energy, self-motivated, results oriented individual committed to providing personal leadership for this position. - Must be able to demonstrate effective time management skills. - Must have a demonstrated knowledge of the Sales component of professional hockey. - Must have excellent communication and selling skills. - Must be able to work closely with the President & Vice Presidents and have the ability to react favorably to direction and input throughout the season. - Ideal candidate will have two plus years of sales experience or one year of ticket sales experience with a professional sports team. - Must have the ability to execute strategy relating to sales, ticket plans, and community endeavors. - A proven track record of success, computer proficiency and exceptional communication and customer service skills required. - Ability to thrive under a competitive sales environment. - Must be prepared to work flexible work hours, related to and in support of the operation of the hockey club. |
