Media Relations Intern

Job Description: Media Relations intern #1 will have the following job responsibilities: • Responding to media requests • Pitching unique story angles to print and electronic media • Assisting in statistical analysis and record keeping • Research • Management/distribution of press clippings/video clips • Assisting with the generation of team publications • Produce content for both the English/Spanish sections of the website • Assisting with special events • Distribute credentials on gameday at media will call • Organization of team and player photos • Distribute copies of stats sheets to the media • Coordinate post-game quotes from home and visiting locker rooms The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills. Evaluation of candidates is based on two primary elements: writing ability and knowledge of soccer and MLS. Those with strong knowledge of soccer are encouraged to apply. Each internship presents a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the daily operation of a world-class, Major League Soccer team year-round, including in-season and off-season. All internships are eligible for college credit, unpaid monetarily but extremely valuable in terms of experience and exposure with one of America's premier sports and entertainment properties.
