Job Description:
One of the most storied franchises in NBA history, is currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic and talented individual to become the new mascot for the team. The ideal candidate would have experience performing as a mascot; possess excellent non-verbal communication skills, athletically and physically fit, and have a creative and humorous personality.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent GED degree. College graduate preferred
Minimum 2 or more years experience as a mascot at the collegiate, minor or professional league level
Choreography and/or skit writing experience
Good interpersonal skills (especially with children)
Good with spontaneous crowd-interaction
Ability to dance (professional dance training a plus)
Acting experience a plus
Performer training a plus
Music and video editing a plus
Great personality
Must be reliable and punctual
Strong non-verbal communication skills
Organization skills
Sales/marketing/customer service experience or background a plus
Essential Job Functions:
Perform as mascot at all home games (41 regular season, plus playoffs)
Add entertainment to the game presentation experience (develop, create and execute new performance skits)
Spontaneous crowd interaction during games and at events
Perform as mascot at all season ticket holder, sponsor and community events/programs, sponsor appearances as well as other “community events” as deemed important to the organization (200-300 year)
Work with Game Operations Manager for all in-game performances
Work with Community Relations Director for all community appearances and programs
Work with Public Relations Director to help promote events, promotions and ticket sales
Responsible for maintaining the costume, wardrobe, props, etc.
Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and Holidays
Coordinate mascot appearance schedule
Actively generates revenue for the mascot program which includes, but not limited to, merchandise sales of mascot identified merchandise, new appearance opportunities, sponsor opportunities for mascot programs
Attend weekly creative meetings with marketing and game operations staff
Produce and attend weekly mascot performance practice sessions
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

While performing duties of job, the employee will be constantly in costume. Move about the arena and during events to interact and entertain clients/fans. Work in excessive heat or cold under stressful conditions
The duties of this position are performed indoors and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud to during events and minimal during non-events.
Audition Dates
Invitation Only! Individual must be available to participate in audition to be held tentatively on Dec 19th or 20th date in Philadelphia so please hold those dates now! Applicable travel expenses will be reimbursed for the auditions. The final candidates will be required to submit to a background check through an independent resource.
