It's hard to find the words to articulate all that has changed in our world over the last few weeks. March 11th the NBA took the unprecedented step of suspending their season, looking back now we can truly admire and appreciate their selfless leadership. Since that time we've seen more than 6.6 million Americans file for unemployment benefits and multiple teams, leagues and organizations decrease their staffing.

We know many of you are hurting and uncertain for your future, which is why we have made many adjustments to our business to benefit you.

  • We've made all part-time jobs posted on WorkInSports FREE to access. Many of you who worked part-time, seasonal sports jobs at events have lost that revenue stream. We want to help you find another opportunity to be made whole.

  • Academy Essentials online course is FREE to all. Learn strategies and tactics that will help you become an expert at getting hired in the sports industry. All online, all free.

  • Our WorkInSports Podcast continues to deliver fresh, industry-leading content, featuring industry experts and top-notch career advice. Subscribe and stay on top of our industry.

  • Many sports businesses are still hiring, either for current operations or the forecasted need once the economy opens up. Our premium membership is now just $19.95 for three months. That is 60% savings from the regular price.

At WorkInSports we have a passion for the sports industry and the joy that it brings us all. We miss it, just like you. Our goal is to help you through this crisis with professional development tools and access to sports jobs that can help pave the way to your dreams.

The sports community is strong, we will persevere!

To our valued customers and employer partners,

We appreciate the trust you've placed in us the past 20 years, especially during these unsettling times. The sports industry is among the hardest hit in this crisis, but it will recover and we'll be leading the way.

As we continue to monitor the impact of coronavirus / COVID-19 we want to share with you the steps we're taking to contribute to breaking the wave of the pandemic and quickening our economic recovery.

First, our employees are working from home and we encourage the strictest forms of voluntary social distancing. Despite significant disruption to our work and challenges to the health of our business, we'll continue to be the most relevant and valuable source of jobs, internships and career advice in the sports industry.

Second, we'll focus a lot of our career content on the unprecedented challenges we all now face. For instance, our podcast recently featured Kenneth Shropshire, CEO of the Global Sports Institute, who shared his well-informed thoughts on the economic and employment impact of coronavirus. Please share your feedback and suggestions for future episodes.

Finally, with the suspension of professional and collegiate sporting events, the impact to game day and seasonal employees has been immediate and vast. Some of you are facing lay offs, or may be in the near future. To that end we've opened up gig and part-time jobs, regardless of membership level, for as long as this crisis persists. We also want to help anyone in need -- please contact our customer service team today so we can assist you.

Be safe and take good care of your loved ones, your colleagues and your neighbors. We'll only get through this together.
