Why does Work In Sports charge a fee to search & apply for jobs?
This is a really good question and one that we like having the chance to explain.
Free sports job boards usually only post job openings from employers willing to pay them a fee, so you only gain access to a sliver of the actual marketplace. Many of these job boards are also littered with advertisements.
We made the choice early on that we wanted WorkInSports.com to be comprehensive with minimal ads. So we find and post all of the available sports jobs from behemoths like Nike right on down to local organizations like Martinsville Bulletin of which there are hundreds, from pro teams right on down to the smallest farm teams. All of which offer excellent and exciting sports jobs.
When you sign up for a membership at WorkInSports.com you have essentially hired our staff to do all of the tedious ‘needle in a haystack’ work for you. They spend their days calling, searching, networking, attending sports industry conferences and researching thousands of sports employers to find and deliver the most complete results to you.
The fun part is, there are still many things we provide for free too - career advice from reputable sports industry veterans on our blog, free job postings on Twitter and for our LinkedIn group, free job alerts so you are informed quickly when your dream job is out there and much more.
Yes, we charge a small fee to serve you up the entire sports job market – we believe this model gives you the best chance to find your dream job, how much is that worth to you?
