Job Description:

This position will support Golf Channel’s Strategic Programming Partnerships and Events division, including the collegiate platform, the Long Drive platform, East Lake Cup and various other Golf Channel-owned and managed platforms. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment including weekends and evenings on occasion. Experience in event marketing and operations is desired. This individual must anticipate priorities and work independently on multiple assignments at the same time.

Job Duties

• Work with all aspects of the Strategic Programming Partnerships and Events Team to accomplish Team goals
• Establish relationships with internal departments to accomplish goals
• Assist in coordination of Golf Channel owned events specifically Long Drive and East Lake Cup including:
• • Coordinate internal Golf Channel departments and outside vendor discussions and facilitate meetings to create open communication between all parties
• • Submit all invoices and facilitate vendor set up process and other financial requirements as necessary
• • Submit creative requests including signage and marketing materials
• • Coordinate Pro-am and other client engagement opportunities
• • Assist with the Long Drive international RFP process
• Create post-event evaluation of key events, with a focus on improving the consumer and sponsor experience while increasing efficiency of the program.
• Draft executive summaries including event overviews, sponsor benefit summaries, Made for Television proposals
• Assist with prospecting and identifying new Made for Television event opportunities
• Assist with the Time Buy submission and proposal process
• Help customize sponsorship and partnership proposals to anticipate potential client needs.
• Work with creative services, marketing, social and other internal departments to develop sales support materials such as sizzle reels, video recaps, sponsorship analysis and valuation of current partnerships, etc.
• Flexibility to assist in other Golf Channel / NBC Sports events
• Special projects, as needed

Basic Qualifications

• College Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related fields
• Knowledge of golf and golf industry a must

• Very experienced with Microsoft Office (Excel), specifically solid knowledge of Powerpoint strongly preferred
• Able to communication (verbal and written) effectively
• Work well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
• Ability to travel on a limited basis
