This position is responsible for overseeing the entire Ticket Operations Department for Texas Motor Speedway including season tickets, groups, premium tickets, and individual event sales. Ensure a high level of customer retention and repeat business through first-class customer service while aggressively searching for new incremental revenue.
-Direct and manage ticket sales and operations team by setting strategy and reviewing performance objectives, touchpoint targets and revenue objectives, coaching, motivating, mentoring, and training.
-Develop and manage annual business plan to achieve desired results including revenue goals for various products, staffing and compensation, inventory management, pricing, product mix, investments, etc.
-Maximize revenue by creating premium seating concepts, developing sales and marketing strategies, recruiting and empowering leadership teams and build strong organizational culture.
-Recruitment, training, interviewing and hiring of at least three new full time Ticket Sales Account Executives. Also, potentially hire and train a temporary telemarketing staff.
-Event creation, manifest building, pricing and management of all aspects related to putting an event on sale both internally and externally through various channels.
-Utilize all programs including ARCHTICS, Access manager, Client Tools, tm360, Account Manager, tmHost and related programs to ensure an efficient and fluid operation.
-Create and maintain all budgets for Ticket Operations Department.
-Renew seats year over year and generate invoicing lists.
-Build and manage payment plan process.
-Produce print files for season tickets and camping.
-Manage all events sold on internet, associated links, copy points and promotions.
-Implement Sporting Innovations product usage including training of necessary staff.
-Management of FanUser and barcoding procedures. Work with ticket scanning supervisors/staff to ensure proper access procedures.
-Produce and distribute ticket sales reports as determined by Management and Finance.
-Assist with financial reports and event settlements as needed.
-Oversee Service and Retention Staff to ensure highest level of Season Ticket Holder satisfaction and retention rate.
-Work with Marketing Department on promotion creation and implementation, including list creation and segmentation, while ensuring best possible consumer buying experience.
-Work with Corporate Sales department on sponsor needs in terms of ticket promotions, packages, fulfillment, etc.
-Coordinate customer service and related issues to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction.
-Responsible for SMI ticket related functions including; related meetings, reporting needs and correspondence.
-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sport Management or related field required.
-7+ years’ experience in ticket sales preferred.
-Must have experience both selling and leading ticket sales with a team and/or large venue.
-Maintain a strong sense of urgency and sales motivation.
-Thorough knowledge and proficiency of Ticketing systems required. ARCHTICS preferred.
-Previous financial accountability with revenue and expense budgets.
-Strong ability to successfully manage and motivate ticket staff, develop and execute sales plans.
-Extensive knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office products.
-Outstanding leadership, sales and motivations skills as well as excellent oral, written and listening communication skills & the ability to work under pressure are required.
-Excellent time management, organization and customer service skills.
-Ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing trends and circumstances.
-Ability to work irregular and long work hours, weekends.
-Ability to work well under pressure.
-Self-motivated with positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
