Job Description:

ResponsibilitiesRole PurposeThis role serves as a key position in the NBC Sports Regional Networks financial planning and analysis function. This role will be responsible for assisting with all financial aspects of the business, and requires understanding of accounting/finance and the ability to partner with business units, Corporate Finance and Comcast. The financial analyst reports to the Manager FP&A.Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, pacing and long range plans; coordinate variance templates and analysis with key RSN finance staff
  • Manage capital spend tracking including budgeting, forecasting, and YTD actual variance analysis
  • Review and analyze monthly forecast files and ensure they are uploaded correctly into BPC
  • Responsible for submitting OCF/FCF pacing and variances into BPC
  • Manage weekly rolling cash forecasts for Comcast corporate
  • Generate and distribute monthly GM reports
  • Consolidate and distribute monthly event cost analysis by team
  • Own the quarterly headcount reporting and variance walks (churn, transfers, RIF, conversions, etc.)
  • Assist with quarterly Comcast data requests
  • Submit rights, distribution and miscellaneous wires in Support Central/SNAP
  • Lead account innovation updates and serve as BPC systems liaison/SME
  • Ad hoc variance analysis and projects
  • Qualifications/RequirementsBasic Qualifications
  • Bachelor\u0027s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in use of SAP/BPC or similar accounting software
  • Proficient in Windows environment; advanced Excel skillsAdditional Requirements
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, weekends and holidays as necessary to meet deadlinesEligibility Requirements

    Desired Characteristics

  • Media, Sports and/or Entertainment experience
  • Public accounting experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills with both Finance and Operational leadership
  • Ability to effectively work independently
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently handle multiple tasks at once
  • Ability to set and manage priorities in order to meet deadlines
