Job Description:

Orlando City SC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the league's 21st franchise in November 2013, becoming the first MLS team in the Southeast. The Lions began league play in March 2015, and in 2017, moved into its privately-owned downtown soccer stadium. In 2019, Orlando City SC will launch OCB in the newly-formed USL League One to bridge the gap between its successful youth development academy and the First Team.

In November 2015, the Club announced its intention to bring professional women’s soccer to Central Florida and launched Orlando Pride in National Women's Soccer League. OCSC also has a youth club, Orlando City Youth Soccer (OCYS) and a U-23 team that participates in the PDL. The Vice President of Ticket Sales is responsible for the planning, management and execution of an integrated business plan focused on the sale of season tickets and group tickets for Orlando City SC (MLS), Orlando Pride (NWSL) and Orlando City B (USL).


-Develop and implement a business plan designed to sell season tickets, group tickets and assigned premium inventory.
-Directly responsible for leading the Sr. Director, Group Sales and Sr. Director, Season Ticket Sales and indirectly responsible for all employees within the ticketing sales team.
-Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals; hire, develop, evaluate, mentor and manage team; ensure appropriate organization structure(s), level of staffing and build bench strength.
-Provide direction, coaching and mentoring to enhance performance and development of staff.
-Work closely with Chief Revenue Officer to establish and execute short-term and long-range goals, objectives, plans, policies, and procedures.
-Develop and monitor key performance indicators and metrics which drive results and provide informed recommendations and effective decision making.
-Effectively manage the overall ticket sales revenue and expense budget.
-Collaborate with other departments to achieve goals (Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, Member Services, Ticket Operations, Executive Leadership)
-Establish strong relationships with the relevant business community and conduct senior level sales presentations in order to drive ticket sales and premium business.
-Monitor market conditions and maintain a strategic planning approach, which optimizes Orlando City SC position relative to competition and market forces.

-Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university with an emphasis on business, management, sports, sales or related field.
-Minimum of 5 years of successfully leading, developing and managing a sales team.
-At least 5 additional years of experience in the professional sports industry with a track record of successfully leading a team responsible for selling tickets and managing multi-faceted ticket sales operations.
-Strong organizational budgeting and sales reporting skills with emphasis on CRM, forecasting, pacing, inventory, campaign/event management and effective leadership.
-Must be a strong leader and motivator and have experience as a ticket sales executive and a history of success in team sports.
-Experience leading change with strong emphasis on team development
-Demonstrated success at developing and implementing integrated sales strategies which deliver results in alignment with overall business objectives.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and CRM.
-Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills required
-Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere.
