Job Description:


The Web Application Engineer will work closely with technology team members to plan, design, develop, deploy, maintain and support various content and media driven sites and applications. S/he will also interface with business product management, business partners and other business units to help to build and deploy up-to-the-minute compelling content.

Job Duties:
• Design and develop features for the Golf Channel property golfchannel.com and other golf related properties.
• Implement sophisticated user interfaces using industry standard technologies and techniques
• Support web servers and other servers via scheduled maintenance, performance tuning, and monitoring
• Provide feasibility reviews for potential new projects, including development effort estimates
• Build applications to agreed upon specifications within the required timeframe and budget
• Architect new features in the Drupal8 CMS and manage the implementation of all CMS features
• Demonstrate deep understanding of LAMP performance and configuration
• Conduct peer-reviews of PHP application code, ensuring that all code complies with team standards
• Work with Database Developers to design new features with attention to performance and scalability
• Work with Customer Service and QA to identify and address reported issues quickly and effectively


• Minimum two (2) years developing web sites using PHP or Perl
• Minimum one (1) years experience working with PHP-based CMS platforms
• Understanding of Drupal theming and module development
• Proficient in coding PHP, HTML5, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, Node.js, JSON, XML, Git
• Ability to integrate into a large agile development project and manage rapid development cycles
• Must be self-motivated and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to clearly communicate ideas and status updates to both technical and non-technical resources
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Committed to quality in every assignment, large or small
• Must be willing to work in Orlando, Fl
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

• Experience working on large scale content/media Websites 9
• Experience building multi-language Websites
• UNIX systems administration skills (command line tasks, shell scripting, Apache)
• Experience working with MySQL/NoSQL/SQL (writing queries, structuring & optimizing databases and tables)
• Experience with JIRA, Slack
• Experience with Akamai / CDNs / Load Balancers
• Experience with Omniture, Adobe SiteCatalyst, Adobe Audience Manager, Comscore, Quantcast, SearchMetrics
• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console
• Experience with Youtube, Alexa
• Experience with Freewheel, Doubeclick, Kochava
• Experience/familiarity with mobile application development (iOS/Android/Xamarin)
• Experience with Wordpress
• Experience or familiarity with the sport of Golf Channel
