The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional football team and a member of the National Football League. The Jaguars are one of the NFL’s youngest franchises, and will celebrate their 25th anniversary season in 2019. The Jaguars are owned by Shad Khan, a dynamic and visionary entrepreneur who owns the world’s largest privately held auto parts OEM company, Flex-N-Gate. In addition to the Jaguars, Mr. Khan also owns London’s oldest soccer club, Fulham Football Club. The Jaguars play nine games each year at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, as well as one game each year at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Under Mr. Khan’s leadership, the Jaguars have transformed the game day experience through significant investments in technology and unique/unprecedented fan and sponsor amenities.
In 2017, the Jaguars added music to their sports and entertainment portfolio (‘Bold Events’) by developing a new 5,500 seat amphitheater (‘Daily’s Place’) which is uniquely connected to TIAA Bank Field, and hosts more than 35 concerts annually. The Jaguars also hold stadium concerts at TIAA Bank Field, including the recent performances by The Rolling Stones and Lynard Skynard. Finally, in partnership with the City of Jacksonville and the Cordish Companies, the Jaguars will break ground on a nightlife and entertainment district commencing in Q1 2020. All of the above properties are part of the Jaguars Corporate Partnerships sponsorship portfolio.
This Corporate Partnerships executive will work closely with the entire Jaguars family of businesses to assist in the sales growth of Khan Sports and Entertainment owned/managed properties, with a direct focus on the Jacksonville Jaguars and Bold Events. Opportunities will also exist to facilitate corporate partnership agreements with other KSEG properties (e.g., Jaguars UK and Fulham FC) as directed.
-Responsible for selling complex sponsorship packages that include, among others, original content features with partner integration, branded/themed entitlement spaces in/around TIAA Bank Field and Daily’s Place, in-stadium branding and activation, digital media platforms, and experiential opportunities.
-Identify and cultivate relationships with brands/marketing executives within targeted accounts who make marketing, sponsorship and media decisions.
-Host and entertain prospective clients at specific Jaguars and Daily’s Place events.
-Responsible for keeping Corporate Partnerships leadership team informed on progress toward established revenue goals and of the progress in closing identified prospects.
-Use department CRM system to track sales activity and client contact information.
-Negotiate sponsorship assets/deal points.
-Take ownership of all processes leading up to and finalizing partnership and sponsorship deals.
-Work closely with Partnership Activation team and other internal and external partners to ensure successful execution of deal points.
-Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related degree.
-A minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
-Strong natural selling skills with proven experience in conceptual and strategic selling.
-Proven track record of ability to successfully close six/seven figure deals.
-Proven track record of negotiating with the ability to improvise.
-Ability to network and create relationships while working efficiently in a fast-paced sales environment.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work well independently.
-High degree of poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external clients.
-Understanding of the presentation and proposal development process with strong PowerPoint skills.
-Expertise in identifying opportunities, developing strategies and negotiating creative solutions.
-Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
-Above all, a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic and team-oriented personality.
