Fanalytical provides data analytics and predictive modeling solutions for University Athletic Departments to increase fan engagement and boost revenues from ticket sales and donations. As an early-stage SaaS company, Fanalytical seeks an experience sales and marketing professional to lead our sales and marketing efforts and build a team to deliver our leading-edge solution to our college campuses.
The ideal candidate will have guided sales and marketing functions at start-up businesses and bring a track record of balancing personal sales efforts with building a sales and marketing team.
This sales leader will be a self-starter with broad-based expertise in key accounts, business development, marketing and relationship management. She/he will have primary responsibility for planning, implementing, and managing all sales and marketing activities. The position is responsible for establishing and delivering the sales targets to meet company objectives and for developing strategic plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.
The position is also responsible for developing marketing and service policies, programs and systems to support strategic direction and business plans with organizational objectives.
The Vice President, Sales and Marketing will be a member of the Fanalytical executive team with direct input for the strategic vision of the company. This position will report directly to the President. Fanalytical’s home office is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
-Develop sales plan and processes to achieve organization strategy and growth.
-Educate prospects as they move through the sales journey in parallel with customer discovery.
-Design and executes sales and marketing programs and practices.
-Manage a robust and active sales pipeline.
-Build, develop and manage sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and account management initiatives.
-Recommend sales strategies based on market research and competitor analyses.
-Develop marketing strategy to deliver organizational strategy and objectives.
-Develop and direct implementation and execution of marketing strategies and programs.
-Create original content for sales presentations and building brand awareness.
-Develop and manage pricing structures for products & services lines.
-Provide leadership in the development of affiliations and partnership arrangements.
-Provide leadership and support for the design, development and implementation of products & service lines.
-Oversee and direct market research, competitor analyses and customer service processes and initiatives.
-Build, develop and manage marketing and account management team capable of carrying out needed marketing and growth strategies.
-Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business Administration.
-10+ years’ experience in direct sales, preferably in a university or professional sports environment.
-7+ years’ experience in sales and marketing functional leadership.
-Strong prospecting skills and excellent closing skills.
-Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
-Experience working with University officials and comfortable with long sales cycles.
-Excellent interpersonal skills.
