Job Description:


The Accreditation Assistant will assist the Coordinator, Games Event Management in the overall process management, submission and distribution of the NBC Olympic credentials and NBC IDs for the upcoming 2020 Olympic Summer Games in Tokyo.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Reviewing of credential materials such as photos and passports;
  • Setting up and printing of NBC IDs;
  • Utilizing the NBC sports management system;
  • Liaising with various internal NBC departments and facilitate in the overall Accreditation submission process with the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee;
  • Coordinating on-site distribution of credentials at the NBC office in the Main Accreditation Center (MAC);
  • Provide support in daily access issues (including guest passes) and in liaising with Tokyo 2020 Accreditation counterparts; and
  • Providing assistance in the Games Event Management office at the International Broadcast Center (IBC).

PLEASE NOTE: This is a project / limited term position with an estimated end date of August 21, 2020; unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bilingual English/Japanese (written and spoken)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work in Stamford CT
  • Willingness to travel to Tokyo for approximately eight weeks and work overtime
  • Must be "on call" 24 hours a day / 7 days a week during designated Games-time period

  • Event Management experience preferred but not essential
