Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Prepare/post monthly journal entries as part of monthly and quarterly close in accordance with GAAP.
  • Reconcile bank accounts against merchant processor statements and revenue reports.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Blackline reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, ensuring that account balances are properly supported and appropriately recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Perform timely reconciliations of accounts receivable, deferred revenue and revenue recognition supporting schedules.
  • Perform all necessary collection procedures including collection calls and follow up.
  • Analyze customer accounts receivable aging reports and record allowance for doubtful accounts in accordance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Audit delinquent accounts, considered to be uncollectable, to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before writing off a balance.
  • Manage hardware inventory tracking process.
  • Assist with preparation and analysis of monthly departmental financial reporting.
  • Assist with corporate deliverables for quarter end close, as well as corporate initiatives as they roll out
  • Assist Accounting Manager with various ad-hoc reporting requests, account analysis and other duties as needed to support the monthly and quarterly close process.
  • Assist Accounting Manager in performing accounting research and prepare memos to ensure that consistent and appropriate accounting treatment is followed across all businesses.
  • Assist in implementing new policies and procedures as needed
  • Prepare for SOX readiness as needed by assisting with internal control processes.


  • Qualifications/Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Master's degree preferred
  • 2-3 years accounting experience, CPA candidate preferred
  • 2 years billing experience
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Punctual, regular and consistent attendance, and ability to work overtime, nights and weekends if needed
  • SAP Experience is a plus
