Responsibilities

The NBC Sports Group serves sports fans 24/7 with premier live events, insightful studio shows, and compelling original programming. The sports media company consists of a unique array of broadcast television, cable television, radio and digital sports assets, including NBC Sports, NBC Olympics, NBCSN (NBC Sports Network), Golf Channel, NBC Sports Regional Networks, NBC Sports Radio and all their respective digital properties. NBC Sports Group possesses an unparalleled collection of television rights agreements, partnering with some of the most prestigious sports properties in the world, including: the NFL, NHL, NASCAR, the IOC and USOC (Olympics), PGA TOUR, PGA of America, USGA, Churchill Downs, Premier League, Tour de France, French Open, Formula One, IndyCar and many more.

Qualifications/Requirements

•In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress
•Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
•Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
•Must be 18 years of age or older
•Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal
•Need to be able to work on-site in Stamford, CT
•Internships at NBCUniversal are paid and do not require course credit
•Deadline: Interested applicants are encouraged to apply by November 1st, 2019
•Spring Program Dates: January - May 2020

Desired Characteristics

•Desired Background(s) Include: Journalism (News, Sports, Digital), Business/Sales, Communications, Sports Management, Graphic Design, and Marketing preferred
•Previous internship experience or on-campus leadership
•Experience working with your Campus Newspaper, Adobe Creative Suite, Avid, After Effects, and/or Excel a plus
•Passion for sports highly desired
