Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Work with the product team to design and develop features for iOS applications including NBC Sports, NBC Gold and Sports Talk
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and fix bugs in existing applications and new code
  • Code, test, and debug code
  • Collaborate with project managers and fellow developers to create technical solutions, estimate work effort, and review feasibility of new features
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the iOS platform and ecosystem
  • Educate business stakeholders when new technical advances and features become available
  • Work with other developers to perform code reviews, establish best practices, and continually improve the way the team operates
  • Create bug free, fault tolerant solutions that support a great user experience


Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) year development experience with Android
  • Minimum of five (3) years total of software development experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Worked on an application submitted and published in the App Store
  • Proficient in Objective-C and Swift
  • Solid understanding of the architecture and structure of iOS applications
  • Demonstrated ability to write well structured, maintainable code
  • Able to discuss ideas and project status clearly with non-technical team members
  • Proficient with source control systems, branching and merging processes and models, such as Git and GitFlow.

  • Able to communicate, collaborate, and work with a team that spans multiple groups and divisions of a large company
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality
  • Capable of managing multiple streams of work simultaneously
  • Deep passion for mobile software development
  • Experience in video streaming of live or on-demand video
  • Working knowledge of implementing mobile analytics
  • Interest and familiarity with progressive web applications and front-end frameworks such as VueJS and React Native
  • Experience working in self-organizing/agile teams
  • Worked with distributed teams and 3rd party companies in the development of mobile applications
