Job Description:


PLEASE NOTE: This is a project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 24 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.


  • Responsible for transmission coordination and check-in for various sporting events based off companywide scheduling system
  • Monitors and troubleshoots on-air video and audio signals, satellite transmissions and multiplexed signals for multiple broadcast streams
  • Interfaces with the Operations and Production departments to ensure all their transmission and routing needs are being met
  • Interacts with transmission carriers to resolve issues, escalations, maintenance, and overall performance
  • Assist in establishing standard operation procedures for all transmission technologies activities which include: audio/video and communications check-in and QC process for remotes, outgoing transmission activity, and ingest
  • Provides quality control and support to all departments in need of feeds assistance
  • Partner with engineering to troubleshoot potential problems
  • Assist in equipment testing and configuration as needed


Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum one (1) year broadcast / operations experience.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Desired Characteristics

Desired Characteristics:

  • Basic knowledge a plus for fiber optic and coax transport, MPEG 2 and 4 encoding and decoding, ASI, Dolby-E, frame syncs, matrix-based communications systems, and plant routing systems.
  • Ability to comprehend signal flow documents (CAD) as well as systems level troubleshooting.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
