Job Description:

The non-profit Oregon Sports Authority is seeking a full-time Youth Program Manager to lead the planning and production of programs to positively engage Oregon youth in sports and physical activity. Programming includes the TrackTown Youth League, a series of free all-comer track meets culminating with a championship meet at Hayward Field in Eugene. Additional youth programming concepts currently under development will also be implemented by the Youth Program Manager. On an ongoing basis, the Youth Program Manager will be tasked with identifying opportunities and partnerships to further expand the organization’s positive impact on Oregon youth, particularly those from low-income families.

Specific to the TrackTown Youth League, the Youth Program Manager will will lead marketing efforts to promote meet participation, coordinate the meet schedule, budget and registration process, and assist local communities in overall meet management and execution. Additional responsibilities include fundraising (grants and sponsorships), as well as sponsor fulfillment. Travel is required; a vehicle will be provided. Responsibilities will be similar for the additional youth programs.

The Youth Program Manager will also lead efforts to reorganize the Oregon Sports Authority’s young professionals advisory council. Responsibilities will include member identification and recruitment, the development of membership requirements and ongoing administrative support. The young professionals advisory council will be tasked with supporting the Oregon Sports Authority’s youth initiatives.

Additional responsibilities will include management of the Oregon Sports Authority’s role in the Play It Forward Award Fund, assistance with a major fundraising auction in 2018, and a variety of supportive responsibilities associated with other Oregon Sports Authority events and activities.

Hire Date and Salary:

- This position will begin in late January or early February 2017 - Includes weekend and evening hours - Salary: $35,000
