Job Description:

The Outing Sales Manager is responsible for both securing and coordinating all golf outing and other events for the property. This position requires an energetic and outgoing sales professional who can professionally and successfully interact with businesses, associations and professionals within the surrounding marketplace.

-Oversee development and implementation of sales strategy, including identifying target clients, achieving targeted sales goals and developing a tactical plan to support the sales strategy
-Generate new business via local/regional companies and organizations for banquet facility usage and golf outings
-Identify, initiate contact and target prospective clients by conducting market research, cold-calling, attending civic organizational meetings, sales appointments, facilitating sales blitzes and implementing market promotions
-Oversee all aspects of the sale including initial contact, relationship building, creating proposal(s), negotiation of rates and space, handling objections and closing the sale
-Complete weekly sales and tracking reports using designated software
-Communicate contract details with Management and Staff to ensure the timely transfer of accurate and complete information for flawless execution
-Maintain existing sales accounts on a year to year basis in order to encourage repeat business from customers
-Provide superior customer service to all sales accounts in order to maximize yearly revenue growth
-Promote the property throughout the community and develop a strong prospect base for future sales efforts
-Provide timely and accurate responses to all inquiries about outings and events at the property
-Attend important community events to foster relationships with the surrounding market that are important to generate referrals


-2-3 years of direct sales experience
-Must have basic computer skills Word, Excel, etc.
-Knowledge about the game of golf is preferred
-Knowledge about Food & Beverage operations is preferred
-Must be highly motivated, goal-driven and a self-starter
-Must have friendly personality and enjoy working with the public
-Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
-Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
-College degree (marketing, communications) preferred
