Job Summary:

The General Manager (GM) drives outstanding results at our core competencies: selling memberships and providing excellent member service by exceeding expectations. The GM should think of a club as his/her business and is responsible for the results in his/her club and contributing to the company’s overall success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide Inspirational Leadership
Focus on people and building a team. Train/Coach Leads at his/her club, and develop other managers and staff
Work with Regional Sales Manager (RSM), District Manager (DM) and Corporate Sales Reps to insure development of Membership Manager (MM) and Membership Advisors, and to make sure we exceed sales goals and comply with system expectations
Ensure onboarding of new, promoted or transferred Managers and Leads following best practices and company guidelines to promote Managers’ success and employee retention
Ensure development of club staff for peak performance and preparedness for advancement
Review top priorities with Leads; help them effectively manage their day
Work with Regional Training Manager (RTM) to insure development of Leads and Supervisors
Foster a culture of universal employee development

Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
3+ years’ experience in a Health Club / Fitness facility preferred
3-5 years’ experience working directly with customers/members and delivering high-satisfaction rates
3+ years leading managers and multi-department teams
Experience with financial reporting and reconciliation (budgets, profit & loss statements specifically)
2+ years in a sales-driven environment, similar to health clubs, with a proven track record of improving sales year-over-year
Current CPR certification or the ability to pass CPR certification within in 60 days of hire date
