The Project Manager shall conduct Project Management activities in a manner which promotes and maintains the company pillars of Welcoming, Intuitive, Engaging and Motivating. An environment shall be maintained which ensures success for all stakeholders in the project, including but not limited to In Shape management and staff, contractors, design professionals, and first and foremost, members.
The Project Manager shall have a proven and demonstrated competency in budgeting, bid document production, scheduling and phasing, cost management, contracting, document control and management, project reporting, coordination of Closeout and Commissioning, and full turnkey delivery of project from Design through Closeout and Warranty. Provide excellent leadership, motivation and a positive work environment for the entire Project Team.
Requirements and Qualifications:
7+ years of experience as a commercial Project Manager or Construction Manager
Conceptual Estimating (preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication
Literacy and competency with construction contracts and bid evaluation
Computer literacy with Word, Outlook, Excel and MS Project
Strong grasp of plan reviews and cross-coordination of documents
Strong competency in managing and updating project budgets
Strong grasp of scheduling and phasing
Ability to work well under pressure
Problem solver and consensus builder
Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and adapt to change quickly
Ability to chair and document meetings, including prebids, construction progress, departmental and inter-departmental meetings.
Strong reporting skills; status reports, schedule updates, meeting minutes
Ability to review, process and manage Project submittals
Ability to review, disseminate and manage project changes and change orders
Ability to schedule contractors, in-house staff and vendors at least three (3) weeks out
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of commercial construction projects.
