NYRR’s Business Development & Strategic Partnership department is responsible for generating and garnering corporate revenue, value and promotion for NYRR in exchange for marketing and advertising benefits to its partners. The department seeks to match the needs of NYRR with the partners’ and their various objectives. NYRR’s needs include cash, as well as value-in-kind products and services, which help to reduce NYRR’s expenses, and partner marketing/promotional support, which helps to build the NYRR brand and expand the audience. In addition to bringing in revenue, the Business Development & Strategic Partnerships department ensures that NYRR delivers on its obligations to its partners.

This position will assist the Strategic Partnership team in all aspects of partnership support, including;

-Responsible for supporting the account team in delivering successful corporate partner relationships, in association with all NYRR races and events, including the New Balance Fifth Avenue Mile and the Bronx New Balance event
-Aid in the planning and race day execution of events, including managing timelines, developing communications plans, routing creative and communications for approval, and creating partner recaps
-Assist with corporate partner integration within NYRR via attending meetings and conference calls, creating agendas, taking and sharing meeting notes, and sharing information cross-functionally with other NYRR departments
-Maintain records and capture data for post-event recaps and discussions (e.g., capture web shots, tracking samples, etc.)
-Coordinate meetings and conference calls for the account team as needed
-Support account managers in developing and executing activation plans for NYRR events, including on-site help
-Develop strong working relationships with a variety of external partners and internal departments, to manage expectations and achieve goals

Position Requirements

-Strong Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Sense of ownership, responsibility, and accountability
-Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads in a fast paced, challenging environment
-Confidence to ask questions, follow up in a timely fashion, and be proactive in taking initiative
-Exhibit solution-oriented thinking, as well as excellent problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills
-Bachelor’s Degree
-Previous internship/volunteer experience in event planning, account management, or partnership marketing a plus
