Job Description:

Reporting directly to the College Basketball Sports Marketing Manager, this role focuses on the servicing of Nike women’s college basketball programs, as well as assisting and executing against key college basketball sports marketing operational duties and executions. As our Women’s College Basketball Service Representative, you’ll be required to provide the highest level of service to our Nike Basketball assets while achieving success in all core accountabilities as a team player in the department of Basketball Sports Marketing. Strong relationships with each team’s staff, coaches, equipment managers, and director of basketball operations through verbal and written communication are fundamental to your success. You will process, manage, and track orders (at once and futures) through NIKE systems by utilizing various reports to ensure thorough, accurate, and timely delivery of all NIKE products. You will lead the communication to the contracted NIKE schools of the start season, mid-season, and tournament product for key dates/deadlines, and Nike Elite accounts. In addition to fulfilling daily product orders, you will be responsible for working cross-functionally in the Basketball Category to ensure on-court product aligns with retail, product buys are completed with a high inventory usage in mind, and that the product needs of Women’s Basketball are being represented in a timely manner. You’ll maintain the administrative contract process through consistent updates, contract tracking, and account setup. You’ll lead the event coordination of the Nike Final Four activities as it relates to the hospitality suite, product selection and distribution, and external vendor partnerships. Aside from Final Four, you’ll also be a key asset in the execution of our Kay Yow Cancer Fund & WBCA partnerships through event planning, product merchandising & buys, and relationship management. Superior organization, high-level communication and relentless execution skills are all qualities that will make you successful in this role. This role has the ability to both affect and inform both our internal and external decision making. Thus, effective organization, intuition, communication, and teamwork skills are paramount

Responsibilities:

• As a member of our NIKE College Basketball Sports Marketing Team, this role is responsible for coordinating the servicing function, as well as maintaining and developing key relationships with NIKE’s women’s College Basketball partners. Additionally, this role will cross into any element of our activations and executions within college basketball.
• Work diligently and closely with NIKE’s product engines. Effectively communicate with and provide feedback/insight to footwear, apparel, GPA, and equipment in the design, development, approval, and delivery of game day and off-court products. As well, closely integrate and coordinate with college team services relative to partner overlap.
• Provide industry leading service to our key College Basketball assets.
• Responsible for SAP function, including the management of product contracts, product flow and logistics, as well as budget forecasting and tracking.
• Stay connected to NIKE’s product team and ensure athlete/player/coach product assortments reflect NIKE business strategies. Basketball being a brand driver, this is a critical component of this role.
• Organizational/operational excellence is a must. Must be able to assist in the tracking of historical data and categorical information and be able to reprocess information to assist with future decision making.
• Build & establish meaningful relationships within NIKE Sports Marketing and Brand Teams
• Relationships. Build deep and meaningful relationships with our external partners in order to provide premium service and to create a level of trust where this role can deliver appearances, initiatives, or approvals.
• Event coordination/execution primarily with Final Four hospitality and coaches trip. This role has great importance to the flawless execution of our events where we are building and fostering the best relationships in the industry.
• Flexibility and adaptability to take the lead on special products, as defined by Senior Director

Qualifications:

• Background as a student athlete is ideal
• Proven ability to build relationships, both internally and externally
• Strong Nike product knowledge and understanding of Basketball products.
• 1-2 years Nike sports marketing experience is preferred
• Experience in working with external partnerships in some capacity
• Experience in athlete integration and brand initiatives.
• Bachelor’s Degree and some relevant experience in customer service, operations or administration.
• Exhibits strong command of both written and verbal communication
• Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP, STATS, and PowerPoint
• Current, or prior, experience with Women's College Basketball is an asset
• Current, or prior, Nike experience is an asset
