Burton has incredible stories to tell and we are making an investment in our social channels and owned blogs with the goal of driving business performance.

The Digital Program Manager for Social & Content is responsible for the business side of social channel management, ensuring we are optimizing the organic and paid elements of social channels. These channels include; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, and the content blogs. Success for the DPM is contributing to the business performance by way of new customer acquisition, retention and sales.

**This role is not a Social Media Community Manager, at Burton the content creation and deployment of social and blog content happens on the creative team.

The Digital Program Manager will work alongside a talented team of digital marketing professionals and will report to the Global Director of Digital Marketing.

Responsibilities:

• Adopt and redefine the strategy for the content blogs (Burtonblog.com and BurtonGirls.com), Burton Snowboards social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram YouTube) and Burton Flagship social channels. Work closely with the Content Manager on the creative team to ensure the messages align with objectives and goals.
• Staying close to trends in the rapidly changing industry of Social & Content Marketing as it can often be a key source of lead generation.
• Work closely with the Digital Program Manager of Analytics and SEO to understand how content interplays with our website strategy.
• Audit the global social media accounts and align the strategy globally.
• As video content continues to be an important part of brand awareness and lead generation, the DPM must work to build a good relationship with the Video production team. As we generate content at events, contests, and season shoots the objective/distribution plan on social channels will be part of the role’s responsibilities.
• Monetize Burton's social channels through Power Editor and by using tools like Curalate, etc.
• Provide strategic direction around Burton’s evolving social influencer program and UGC strategy.
• Develop opportunities for content syndication.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of business experience at a respected digital agency or within a digital marketing team of a recognized brand.
• Clear understanding of the Burton brand.
• Ability to work on several short and long-term projects simultaneously.
• Presentation skills and confidence
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, fostering the ability to deal with internal and external business partners in all levels of an organization.
• Working knowledge of Google Analytics or other onsite analytics platforms.
• Expertise in Business Manager and Power Editor for Facebook and Instagram
• Working understanding of all incoming digital marketing channels including but not limited to SEM, Email, SEO, Display, Mobile, Social, Affiliates, etc.
• Experience working with CRM data to inform and affect social marketing campaigns.
• Experience using a Content Management System (CMS)
• Curious by nature, tolerant, fun.
