Job Description:


As an Account Executive based in Los Angeles, you’ll further establish NIKE as the leading brand across the West Territory, and drive mutually profitable growth for NIKE and our retail partners. You will accomplish these objectives by partnering with your accounts’ buying teams, other Account Executives, Territory Business Planners, Category Sales leadership, and key internal stakeholders to build profitable assortment plans, drive retail sales, and cultivate strong business relationships.

This role involves soliciting, confirming and tracking orders across multiple seasons; staying current on product updates; evaluating accounts’ retail sales; creating product assortments and building sales forecasts in NIKE’s sales systems; and proactively communicating Cancellation, Return-To-Vendor & Order Flow recommendations to accounts. You also will be responsible for proactively communicating account issues & opportunities, product feedback, and other important market insights to West Sales management.


• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or an equivalent field
• 2+ years' additional sales experience in lieu of a degree
• 5+ years of work experience in at least one / several of the following areas:
•Sales (e.g. Internal/B2B or external)
•Retail or Business planning
•Merchandising, or Retail Store Management
• Proven track record of working within a team and with other internal stakeholders to deliver business results and create team success
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to prepare, plan, and deliver persuasive product presentations
• Experience working with and understanding a competitive marketplace and retail trends
• Ability to interpret data to inform sound business decisions
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to elicit information, actively listen, negotiate tense situations, and successfully resolve conflict
• Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Intermediate to advanced Business Planning experience
• Ability to lift and carry samples and bags weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to travel to assigned accounts and internal sales meetings up to 30% of the time
