Senior Soccer Grassroots Business Development Represntative - Los Angeles

Description


As our Senior Soccer Grassroots Business Development Representative you'll be responsible for achieving assigned sales targets by bringing in new, maintaining existing business, and sell our products to a defined set of accounts. You will develop and execute strategies with accounts, including semi-annual account business plans and monthly revenue targets.

Responsibilities will include:

•Align to the Strategic NA Soccer Grassroots Business Development Plan.
•Establish and maintain timely, consistent, and positive external and internal relationships.
•Work with Nike Soccer Specialty Rep, account buyers and planners to ensure market and customer capacities are met.
•Provide exceptional customer service by developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customer personnel at all levels of the customer’s business.
•Generate an in-depth understanding of the category and market place: consumer trends, competitors, market place development, and retail development.
•Lead the development of account plans with the customer thru close collaboration.
•Manage NA Soccer Grassroots relationships.
•Soccer industry knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

•Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
•2 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree
•5+ years' overall industry business experience from sales, retail management, marketing, merchandising, sales operations and/or product
•2 to 3 years' sales experience with a large regional, national and/or strategic account is strongly preferred
•Experience and track record of success working with major accounts increasing revenue, creating and driving a holistic business plan inclusive of short and long term business strategies and financial targets.
•Experience and knowledge of retail fluency and account profitability models with an ability to drive a profitable account business.
•Ability to influence both cross functionally and vertically within industry.
•Marketplace financial and business skills are a must.

•Understanding of competitive market, customer and retail trends
•Excellent negotiation skills and ability to coach and guide customers
•Exceptional communication skills, including ability to elicit information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully and manage and resolve conflict.
•Ability to lift and carry samples and bags weighing up to 25 lbs.
•Ability to work varied business hours, including some weekend work.
•Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
•Soccer industry experience is preferred.
