Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION

Under the general supervision of the Senior Vice President of Ticketing Operations, the Director of Group Ticket Sales will serve as the manager of the Group Ticket Sales Department with immediate supervisory responsibility for the Group Ticket Sales staff. The Director will also be expected to lead, contribute to, and support special projects and initiatives as directed.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the group sales program for all ticketed sports.
  • Manage the group sales staff.
  • Produce weekly updates of the group sales results.
  • Sell football, menís and womenís basketball, baseball, and softball group tickets.
  • Sell season tickets, mini plans, and single game tickets for football, menís and womenís basketball, baseball, and softball.
  • Cultivate current and past groups and new prospects to generate sales.
  • Contact area businesses, youth organizations, and other large groups to promote the group ticket program.
  • Work all home games to service the groups and generate leads through tabling.
  • Make recommendations on group experience, group events, and group pricing.
  • Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals.
  • Promote and solicit special events in the athletics facilities (wedding, birthday parties, corporate meetings).
  • Provide superior customer service to clients throughout the season

    Qualifications

  • Bachelorís degree or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in sales and building quality relationships
  • Strong desire to work in college athletics
  • Ability to appropriately articulate the ticket options via phone call and in-person meetings
  • Candidates should have a history of success in ticket sales, preferably with a major Division 1 university or professional sports
  • Candidates should have a minimum of two years of sales or customer service experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficient in all applications of Microsoft Office; and internal donor management systems, ticketing systems, and/or CRM a plus
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekend, holiday, and evening hours
  • Ability to travel as needed to complete duties and responsibilities
