Job Description:

The sales and marketing associate will coordinate all activities of sales and marketing including but not limited to promotion of FIP programs, events, marketing campaigns, brand development, strategic planning, and assist in developing new business opportunities for the company. The ideal candidate has previous experience in sports business management, a passion for sports, and is excited about contributing to a growing company, self-motivated, highly organized, and exhibits excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

Design and execute sales, marketing and promotional campaigns and events to maximize sales.
Work assertively to identify new, unique and high value business opportunities
Assist the director of FIP in brand development and messaging
Develop, execute and review annual strategic business plan, goals and objectives in cooperation with the director of FIP
Develop offers, promotions, packages and pricing in cooperation with the director of FIP
Monitor, track, analyze and report on sales and marketing progress
Develop annual sales and marketing budget in cooperation with the director of FIP
Develop digital and print marketing and sales materials including but not limited to flyers, posters, postcards, email blasts etc.
Manage, oversee and execute website, social media platforms and their content
Manage client accounts using our management software for memberships, billing, payment, waivers and communications
Provide excellent administrative and customer service support to all staff, clients, vendors, media, and visitors to FIP
Assist owner/director in developing and maintaining professional relationships with athletes, parents, agents, teams, athletic directors, coaches, organizations, media, vendors and sponsors
Field in bound phone calls and emails with regard to client, vendor and media inquiries and follow up as required
Conduct facility tours and educate potential clients, vendors, and media regarding FIP programs and services
Available to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and off site events as requested by the director
Assist in the daily operations of FIP
Network throughout the industry of sports business management as well as sports performance
Attend professional continuing education conferences and workshops
Attend all staff meetings and onsite events as requested by the director
Maintain client, staff and company confidentiality at all times
Maintain high standards of professionalism and business ethics at all times
Report to the director of FIP

Qualifications:

Energetic, dynamic, self-motivated, creative, assertive, strong work ethic
Passionate about sports and the field of sports management
Driven to continually learn, grow, and develop personally and professionally
Ability to create and execute professional sales and marketing proposals and presentations
Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Strong problem solving skills to address and resolve issues of a growing company
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills
Detail oriented
Must be self directed and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Competent in MS Office, Power Point, spreadsheets and email

Experience and Education:

Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in sports management, business administration, marketing or related field
Previous experience in sales, marketing and/or business development preferred
Knowledgeable of marketing, advertising and sponsorship program development
Knowledgeable of branding, public relations, and sales
Knowledgeable of social media platforms (facebook, twitter, instagram, snapchat)

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience and includes a base salary plus commissions
Reimbursement for expenses related to professional conferences
