Quiksilver, Roxy and DC offer internships in various departments and provide college students with supervised practical experience in the workplace. You can intern in departments like Merchandising & Design, Retail Buying, Marketing, Public Relations, Operations and Human Resources to name a few.
To be considered for the Internship Program you MUST :
Be a Junior or Senior currently enrolled at a college or university; or enrolled in an MBA program AND
Receive school credit for your internship AND
Able to provide proof of health insurance
(Please note: Students are eligible to intern during their course dates. Students may not begin before course date or continue past course date unless authorization letter is provided)
What would you be doing?
Marketing Training Content Intern will shadow the Training Manager in creating assets that benefit Quiksilver and Roxy brands. The intern will be exposed to video projects, which are edited and then posted to a library. Video assets will be marketed through a training micro-site to benefit retail shop employees and consumers. Interns will sit in on meetings on key marketing and product stories, to help provide feedback using their creative thinking about the projects. The interns will be exposed to all phases of a project including idea creation, scripting, coordinating shoots, content capture and management, editing, and post production. Each intern may also be exposed to projects related to the micro-site including web design and social media marketing. Interns must be willing and able to provide videography tools including cameras, microphones, lighting, stands, digital storage, editing equipment and software. These can be personal property or on loan from the university.
What Skills, Major or Experience are we looking for?
Confident user of Microsoft Office software.
Proficient in the use of professional-class video and audio recording devices.
Must be experienced using Adobe Final Cut, Premier Elements, or similar editing/authoring software.
Demonstrate creativity, have a deep understanding of website building and design.
Have excellent time management skills.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, public speaking will be required.

Each intern will develop critical reasoning skills; as content creation will be goal-oriented and has a marketed destination that should be determined before any production.
Interns will learn about corporate budgets; they will learn about subordinate departments budgets and how careful planning and project management go hand-in-hand when considering ROI
Each intern will learn the management of a dynamic and layered schedule, which will test his or her time-management skills.
Interns will get valuable exposure to cross-functional team members in Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Product Management, Materials and Design, and executive-level personnel. They will exit the internship with potentially dozens of contacts to help in their future career.
