A key goal of Mayor Frank G. Jackson’s administration has been to improve the quality of life in Cleveland’s neighborhoods. Reaching that goal requires a comprehensive approach to create greater opportunities for residents, especially our youth and young adults.
That is why the City of Cleveland has changed the philosophy of its recreation centers to more holistically serve families. Each of the City’s 22 Neighborhood Resource & Recreation Centers (NRRC) are poised to expand services and add staff equipped to provide a more robust approach to human services programming, trauma-informed care, and crisis management.
Under the direction of the Chief of Prevention, Intervention and Opportunity for Youth and Young Adults (PIOYYA). The Social Services Director will work hand in hand with the Chief and the Director of Public Works in all efforts related to the transformation of the recreation centers into trauma-informed care NRRCs.
