Job Description

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Project Manager provides operational support on environmental health and safety matters for company clients. The position is responsible for supporting development of growing consulting business in the West/Southwest.  The position supports and maintains EHS compliance and associated support services for diverse clients in a variety of industries including food manufacturing, recycling, and heavy industry. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities -

  • Air quality permitting and compliance; general regulatory compliance; various permitting for industrial facility projects
  • Managing facility Air Quality programs
  • Technical work including compliance risk assessment, analysis and management, permit facilitation, report drafting and research
  • Field activities including client meetings, sampling, site inspections, corrective actions, and client EHS training
  • Client interaction and management
  • Travel – local metro and out of state required
  • Support client Air Permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) and RCRA waste characterizing
  • Interpreting federal and state occupational safety and health regulations and changes and implementing compliance for clients
  • Interacting with Regulators and Permitting bodies on behalf of clients
  • Maintain EHS related projects – on time, on quality, on budget
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Environmental, Chemical, Geology, or other Science required
  • Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in Air Quality compliance and/or related discipline required
  • Experience performing facility Industrial Hygiene events
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written (technical)
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required
  • MS Office skills in MS Excel
  •  AutoCAD and/or GIS expertise would be helpful, but not required
  • Knowledge of Arizona & Colorado State regulatory requirements in Air, Wastewater or Waste preferred
  • Experience implementing, training, and maintaining safety programs
  • Understanding of OSHA Framework including incident and injury prevention programs
  • Prior EHS work experience with Research & Development, and manufacturing operations preferred
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Ability to work varied hours with domestic travel
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-cultural, team-oriented environment
