Who We Are:

About Cedar Stars Academy: Founded in 2011, Cedar Stars Academy began as a youth soccer club focused on providing the very best coaching, training and facilities to athletes in Northern New Jersey. Today, with more than 2,000 male and female athletes, Cedar Stars Academy currently has five branches throughout the Northeast coast of the U.S. Cedar Stars Academy-Bergen & Cedar Stars Academy-Monmouth both have Boys MLS Next U13-U19 and Girls Academy League U13-U19. These are both recognized as one of the top platforms for player development and competition. Cedar Stars Academy also has three semi-professional teams USL 2 & NPSL on the men’s side and the W-League on the women’s side.

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a driven Girl Director for our Bergen County Division. The position will oversee and manage Cedar Stars Academy - Bergen Girls Programming Reports to the President & Sporting Director, this person will instill the culture and values with staff, coaches and players.

Responsibilities:

  • The Cedar Stars Academy - Bergen Girls Academy is the primary individual responsible for guiding the club and maintaining the standards of Cedar Stars Academy.
  • Manage, oversee and organize coaching staff
  • Organize and build Cedar Stars Academy Girls program from U5-U19
  • Instill the club culture that coaches, players and parents are committed to the club and organization first.
  • Develop best practices for integration of players within the Cedar Stars Academy network.
  • Lead the club in accordance with Cedar Stars Academy standards and manage and develop staff.
  • Oversee and manage a recruitment plan to identify the best talent in the area and annually
  • Manage relations with the community and attract coaches, players and local businesses to want to be part of Cedar Stars Academy
  • Coach 2 teams
  • Manage and help implement standardization of curriculum that will be built for all teams and manage each team and coach performing the periodization plan and style of play/ technical plan.
  • Provide and ensure staff is performing evaluations and IDP plans for all players per timeline.
  • Assist with managing Cedar Stars Academy brand ensuring its consistent application across the club and understanding.
  • Educate coaches, players and parents on our European partners and professional pathway
