Responsibilities include recruiting and representing athletes, marketing, and negotiating client contracts. Work You Will Do: Recruit new clients and negotiate players' contracts Assist in marketing and servicing of current and new clients Establish contacts within the basketball industry, including internationally Travel as needed in the performance of job responsibilities Lead business development Other related duties as reasonably assigned Qualifications: College degree and a minimum of five years experience in the field of basketball Existing contacts within the basketball community Proven record of successful representation of professional basketball players Ability to bring existing clients to Octagon Knowledge of the basketball systems within the US and abroad Well-developed sales and marketing skills Superior negotiation skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to use good business judgement and to make quick decisions in situations where discretion is required Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, as required Ability to travel as needed For consideration, please submit resume and cover letter on-line at www.Octagon.com in the Careers section.
