Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Head Coach, Men's and Women's Swimming in the Athletics department.

The candidate would be expected to: organize, plan and direct all aspects of a Division I program; recruit athletes; assist in the formation and preparation of the budget and oversee the expenditures; assist with alumni and booster activities; cooperate with news media.

This is an on-campus, in-person, non-remote position.

  • Two years of college swimming or coaching experience.
  • Competitive swimming experience.
  • Computer literate.

Preferred Qualifications

Division I experience. Experience with both men and women collegiate athletes.

  • Develop an atmosphere of strict adherence to the intent of the university, student, and student-athlete code of conduct by all personnel and student-athletes associated with the swimming program.
  • Hire and supervise all assistant coaches.
  • Organize, plan and direct all aspects of a Division I program.
  • Monitor education progress and welfare of student-athletes.
  • Perform usual and customary coaching activities.
  • Recruit athletes.
  • Assist with alumni and booster activities.
  • Assist in the formation and preparation of the budget and oversee the expenditures.
  • Assist with fundraising and public relations.
  • Cooperate with news media.

Regular or Occasional Regular Duty

Responsible for adhering to policies and procedures governing the Department of Athletics and the University and any applicable rules and regulations associated with the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) or any other conference or organization with which the University is or becomes associated with which affects University Athletics.
