Head Coach - Junior Varsity Field Hockey

Northfield Mount Hermon, an independent co-educational boarding school in western Massachusetts, seeks a dynamic and vibrant individual to lead the Junior Varsity Field Hockey program. The head coach will be responsible for leading tactical aspects of practices and games and mentoring student-athletes on and off the field. The successful applicant will be proficient in field hockey tactics and strategy and have the ability to intentionally build a positive and inclusive team culture. The position starts, August 2025.

Candidates should have experience playing and coaching the sport, have an understanding of high school athletes' development through adolescence, and be able to work collaboratively. The position will instruct players on the rules, regulations, equipment, as well as technical aspects of the sport. Additional qualifications include strong listening skills, highly developed interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work with colleagues.

Candidates must be familiar with boarding school life, demonstrate experience in equity and inclusion work that promotes a diverse community environment, and have a clear understanding of anti-bias education.
