Job Title: Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

Reports To: Head Women's Soccer Coach
Job Type: This is a full time, exempt position.
General Description:
The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach is responsible for promoting William Woods Athletics through the academic, on-field and off-field development of the Women's Soccer program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner in accordance with University's mission, and values
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner consistent with Title IX, Athletic Department and Conference policies and procedures, including fairness in discipline matters.
- Assist with the administration of an intercollegiate athletics program including, but not limited too;
o Planning and Conducting practices
o Supervision of workouts
o Work in conjunction with sports performance and support staff
o Recruitment of qualified student-athletes
o Monitoring academic progress
o Managing Budgets
o Fundraising
o Coordinate transportation including driving University vehicles when necessary
o Supervise Graduate Assistant Coach
o Scheduling games, events, and activities
o Reporting information to appropriate personnel.
o Coordinating Champions of Character
o Fostering Alumni Relations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- Must have demonstrated ability in coaching.
- Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
Preferred:
o Knowledge of and commitment to NAIA, and Champions of Character.
o USSF Coaching license
o Experience coaching Goalkeepers.
Typical Physical Demands:
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Ability to climb several flights of stairs several times each day.
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- Ability to speak and read English fluently.
- Must possess a Missouri driver's license and adhere to the WWU vehicle policy.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Work Schedule:
This is an exempt, 10-month position requiring 40+ hours per week with day, evening, or weekend work as needed.
