About The Moorings Club: Located on Hutchinson Island and just steps from the Indian River Lagoon, The Moorings Club is one of Vero Beach’s most prestigious private, member-owned clubs. The Club offers 36 holes of championship golf across two distinct campuses. The Pete Dye-designed Moorings Course is situated on the main campus on Hutchinson Island, while the Jim Fazio-designed Hawk’s Nest Course lies just a few miles inland. Notably, Hawk’s Nest served as the host site for the 2025 FSGA Mid-Am Championship , further solidifying the Club’s reputation for excellence in golf.

Beyond golf, The Moorings offers a comprehensive range of amenities including 9 Har-Tru tennis courts, 4 pickleball courts, two croquet lawns, a state-of-the-art fitness center, pool and spa, a vibrant yacht club, a Kid’s Zone, and two beautifully appointed clubhouses offering both fine and casual dining.

Position Summary: The Moorings Club is seeking a Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional for the 2025–2026 season. This position is based at our main campus, home to the Pete Dye-designed Moorings Course. It is ideally suited for an aspiring golf professional who is passionate about the game, values servant leadership, and thrives in a member-focused, service-oriented environment.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated and professional Golf Operations team committed to delivering one of the best private club experiences in South Florida. We’re looking for someone who brings a solid foundation in private club golf operations yet remains eager and humble enough to learn from a highly experienced golf professional staff.

A Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional at The Moorings Club is expected to work the hours and days necessary to uphold the Club’s high service standards, including weekends and holidays. However, we recognize the importance of having a life and time away from the Club. To this end, we strive to schedule our professionals five days per week. The only exceptions may occur during major events—such as the Member-Guest or Member-Member—when a six-day workweek may be required. Our goal is to ensure team members are rested and focused, so they can consistently provide the outstanding service our members expect.

This position is looking to start in mid-October 2025. Exact start date and end date is flexible with the right candidate.

• Team player and service oriented professional
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• A passion for the game of golf
• PGA Associate or working toward PGA membership preferred but not required

• Day-to-day operation of the Golf Shop including opening or closing of the Golf Shop
• Assist the merchandise operation in the golf shop including inventory, and maintaining merchandise displays
• Assist in keeping the golf shop and golf operational areas neat and clean
• Clearly communicate with members both in person and on the phone
• Assist in monitoring the Practice Tee and providing support to the Golf Services Team.
• Operate the Club’s Northstar POS system
• Have or develop a working knowledge of Golf Genius to use for all Club events
• Be available for all club events and assist in all tournament activities
• Perform club repair
• Opportunities for instruction depending on qualifications
• Play golf with the membership
• A love for the game of golf and member experience
• Perform all other duties as assigned
