Golf Coach
(contracted stipend position)
Washington County Community College (WCCC) is accepting applications for a Golf Coach to begin immediate recruitment of student-athletes, with coaching duties starting Fall 2025. This is a stipend-only position reporting to the Director of Athletics and Campus Engagement.
The WCCC Golf Program competes in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) with a regular fall season. Duties include but are not limited to organizing and leading practices, developing training plans, promoting healthy lifestyles, preparing the team for local competitions, recruiting and retaining student-athletes, and supporting fundraising efforts. Attendance at all practices and competitions is required, including student-athlete transportation.
Successful candidates should have a background as either a player or coach at the collegiate level, experience at the high school level, or teaching experience as a golf professional. Candidates with the ability to recruit student athletes successfully and to lead in all aspects of coaching a collegiate golf program will be considered.
Qualifications: Experience as a golf coach or player at the collegiate/high school level or as a teaching golf professional. Strong leadership and communication skills. A valid and clean driving record for the State of Maine is required.
Dates of Employment: Recruitment: June 1 - August 1 and In-Season Coaching: August 15 - November 15. Compensation: $4,000 stipend (no benefits). No expectation of renewal beyond listed dates.
