Position Summary:
VSA is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and visionary leader to serve as our Girls Director of Coaching (DOC) and Head Coach of the U12 Girls team . This multifaceted role combines leadership, mentorship, coaching, and program development, providing the right candidate with the platform to make a lasting impact across our girls program from U9 to U19
Key Responsibilities:
1. Girls Director of Coaching (U9U19)- Oversee all technical, developmental, and staffing aspects of the VSA girls program.
- Design and implement a unified curriculum and playing style in line with VSAs mission and values.
- Recruit, supervise, and mentor girls program coaches.
- Provide performance evaluations, training support, and continuing education for staff.
- Foster a player-first culture with clear development goals and standards.
- Communicate with families to support player development and ensure satisfaction.
- Serve as the lead coach for the U12 Girls team, guiding players through the transition from foundation to competitive stages.
- Plan and deliver engaging, progressive training sessions and manage match-day responsibilities.
- Promote a positive environment focused on technical mastery, tactical awareness, and personal growth.
- Maintain consistent communication with players and parents regarding progress and expectations.
- Lead VSAs small group and individual development initiative, Player Factory .
- Build session plans tailored to individual needs and development goals.
- Manage registration, scheduling, and program logistics.
- Provide regular feedback and track participant progress.
- Design and run VSAs Essentials Camp , a pre-season training experience for competitive players.
- Develop camp curriculum focused on physical readiness, skill sharpness, and team cohesion.
- Handle all logistics, staffing, and communications related to the camp.
- Evaluate and adjust programming for future improvements.
Qualifications:
- C License or higher required
- Minimum 3 years of coaching experience in a youth competitive environment.
- Experience supervising or mentoring coaches preferred.
- Deep understanding of long-term player development and youth soccer structures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
