Summary/ObjectiveConcerto is seeking a Lead Renal Dietitian to join its team! The Lead Renal Dietitian supports with the overall policies and goals for the clinical nutrition department. They are responsible for regulatory compliance, policies, and procedures in accordance with Concertos policies, procedures, and training, and in compliance with regulations set for by state and federal agencies. The Lead Renal Dietitian reports to the Director of Clinical Nutrition.
Essential Functions- Hire, lead, direct, coach, train, and develop nutrition team members.
- Foster teamwork and establish effective strategies to implement innovative programs which lead to optimal clinical nutrition outcomes.
- Monitor competency, productivity, and documentation accuracy of clinical staff.
- Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state and accrediting agencies and adheres to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.
- Participates in facility-wide and directs departmental Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) Programs.
- Lead and/or participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs, as appropriate.
- Read, customize, and enforce compliance with all policies and procedures of the facility and Company as appropriate.
- Ensures patient satisfaction, quality care, regulatory agency compliance, and good public relations.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or similar area required.
- Registered Dietitian with at least 12 months clinical experience as required by CMS.
- At least 1-year specialized renal experience.
- State licensure or certification required if licensure or certification is available in the state where the facility is located.
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook required as well as functional proficiency with Concerto specific applications within 60 days of employment.
