Position Description

The Senior Operations Coordinator, High Performance, plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day administrative, operational, and strategic functions of the High Performance department. This position ensures smooth operations through effective project management, cross-department collaboration, staff coordination, and compliance with federation-wide standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the High Performance department in managing and carrying out administrative needs to ensure compliance with all interdepartmental and federation-wide standards.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, staffing, and management of all Per Diem High Performance Employees.
  • Collaborate with Sporting Operations, Finance, and Accounting to manage and track all High Performance department expenses.
  • Support the High Performance department functions in preparation for all pre, during, and post-camp needs.
  • Support in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of High Performance Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practices.
  • Support the Department in all project planning, execution, and data analysis.
  • Partner with Sporting Operations and Legal to create and manage all contractual arrangements with High Performance Independent Contractors and Vendors.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of all High Performance Department full-time employees
  • Collaborate with the Head of High Performance and other department leaders to develop and maintain a High Performance department strategy, culture, and yearly department goals.
  • Schedule, attend, and document weekly meetings with Head of High Performance and High Performance department leadership.
  • Build relationships internally with other U.S. Soccer departments and externally with vendors, providers, clubs, and universities
  • Serve the High Performance Department by acting as an administrative, organizational, and operational point of contact, supporting any relevant projects/deliverables within this scope as needed.
  • Ensure all High Performance Department resources and documents are organized and accessible to relevant parties, maintaining the departments OneDrive and SharePoint .
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • General knowledge of soccer
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Exceptional time-management skills and ability to prioritize workflow
  • Must be able to connect micro details to the macro vision and mission
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work and execute under pressure and deadlines
  • Detailed oriented and meticulous work style
  • Excellent written and verbal communication combined with a professional demeanor
  • Excellent work ethic and relentless desire to contribute to the teams success on the field
  • Experience in managing a budget, travel (domestic and international) and operations for an elite sports team
  • Uncompromising ethical standards, trustworthy and discreet
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
  • Able and willing to travel up to 25% of the year, domestic and international
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Masters degree in business administration, MBA
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Elevated critical thinking skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and a proven ability to collaborate with others
  • Achievement-oriented and confident with a drive to succeed
  • Thorough institutional knowledge of U.S. Soccers mission, goals, technical plan, policies, practices, and procedures
  • Previous experience with a club or national team
  • Previous experience within Sport Science, Sports Medicine, Sporting Analytics, Research & Innovation, or Data Analytics
