Assist the Director of Sports Performance with the daily operation of and NCAA Division III strength and conditioning program. Design and implement strength and conditioning programs for multiple sports with differing physiological needs/concerns; Communicate effectively with sport coaches as to their thoughts/concerns about their team and/or individual athletes; Teach weight lifting and conditioning techniques and safety and maintenance of the weight room; Lead weight room sessions and conditioning drills for assigned intercollegiate athletic teams; Perform specific duties for the Director of Sports Performance if needed in his/her absence; Abide by University, NCAC and NCAA rules and regulations; Participate actively in the university community; and Serve on appropriate university and department committees.
- Experience in program design with the ability to work with multiple sports.
- At least 2 years of experience in either a collegiate or professional weight room setting.
- Must currently hold a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or College Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) certification. Selected candidate will be required to maintain such certification.
- Must be able to frequently work night and weekends.
- Hold a current, valid drivers license and must be insurable under Denisons liability insurance policy.
