ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, GROUP SALES - OVERVIEW:
Elevate, in collaboration with our partners at the Washington Spirit is seeking an Account Executive, Group Sales. This position is responsible for generating new business through the sale of Washington Spirit group ticket inventory. Targets markets will include but are not limited to, local youth soccer clubs, schools, scouts, membership organizations, and more.
The ideal team member will have a passion for the sports industry, and the ability to create group programs to drive attendance and revenue for the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sells a full menu of Washington Spirit product offering, with a focus on Spirit group outings and events.
Meets or exceeds established sales effort and revenue goals, while exceeding group leader expectations in value and service.
Develops authentic relationships with organizations to organize group outings through targeted outreach, networking, appointments, and sales events.
Retains, renews, and grows group ticket and hospitality book of business each season.
Collaborates effectively with other departments to enhance the overall group experience.
Works assigned sales team events and games and outside normal business hours.
Maintain accurate records in support of sales efforts as defined by the organization in CRM system.
All other responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. A. Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing or related field preferred.
Minimum of 1 year related sports experience.
Experience with Archtics & Ticketmaster ticket systems preferred.
B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Highly proactive, goal oriented and motivated with a positive attitude.
Very strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for providing great customer service.
Coordinate changing priorities in a dynamic, high pressure, fast paced environment.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and creatively solve day-to-day challenges.
Strong work ethic - must be a team player with a get the job done attitude.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Power Point, Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays.
