Job Title: Assistant Director of Football Equipment Department: Athletics | Equipment Care

Job Description

Assists in all aspects and management of equipment services for football. Orders, fits, maintains, repairs, issues, inspects, cleans, and inventories athletic equipment for football; contacts vendors, prepares orders, receives, and inspects deliveries. Assists in the process for properly determining and fitting each player with a customized array of protective and performance equipment, apparel, and footwear to provide maximum efficiency and protection against injury. Coordinates equipment at practices and games. Attends home and away games, assists in coordination of equipment trucking and logistics to away contests. Maintains equipment room and locker room organization and functionality. Upholds the branding, licensing, and creative vision determined between the University, Athletics and Nike. Supervises football student managers; administers policies and provides daily planning and skilled instruction on all position-related responsibilities. Assists in the needs of football administration.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with the Nike Gameday system, knowledge and experience of fitting protective equipment; proficient inventory skills (preferably with Teamworks), knowledge of NCAA rules; Must have the ability to perform accurate, detail-oriented work and have excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide and diverse group of coaches, staff and student athletes.
