Glenville State University, member of the NCAA Division II Mountain East Conference is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Head Womans Golf Coach. Examples of Duties: The organization and execution of practice planning and team strategies. Development of the teams schedule, including competitive tournaments to enhance the program regionally. Oversight of the programs operating budget. Fundraising at a strong level, including participation with the institutions Day of Giving and the continuation of the programs annual Masters Tournament Fundraiser. Instructing student-athletes in sports performance and related health and fitness Recruitment of qualified student-athletes at a high level and developing a competitive roster that meets the institutions enrollment and net revenue goals. Development of a comprehensive plan of Alumni Outreach. Academic success of student-athletes and monitoring and fostering a positive academic environment. Development of a strong relationship with the coaching staff, Athletic Department, campus, and the local community. Student-athlete development NCAA compliance Tournament and practice preparation and scheduling. Organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulation of GSU, MEC, and NCAA. Applicant must demonstrate ability to drive a van and travel out of town for extended periods while working nights and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- Background in golf coaching and operations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to function in a service- and team-oriented environment
- Basic computer and word processing skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree
