Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Senior Associate Director, Athletics Marketing and Brand. - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Serves on the Athletics Senior Staff with sport supervisory role, along with administrative oversight of band, spirit and mascot.

  • Provides leadership and is accountable for day-to-day operation of Athletics Marketing Staff to create and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns for each sport with the objective of increasing attendance and engaging students and external fans at all events.

  • Provides leadership for day-to-day operation of Athletics Creative Staff, overseeing the department's social and creative content planning and strategy.

  • Directly responsible for managing and executing all facets of football marketing plan.

  • Accountable for all game atmosphere/game productions, in-game sponsor fulfillment and oversees all in-game sponsor fulfillment initiatives.

  • Identifies opportunities and activates promotions for groups to participate in game day activities associated with athletic events and collaborates with sales team to enhance season, single and group ticket sales.

  • Works closely with student and university departments and organizations.

  • Activates and identifies grassroots marketing efforts and community relations efforts, continually positioning Florida Atlantic as "The Hometown Team."

  • Creates and implements effective brand strategy that leverages FAU Athletics brand throughout all athletics sponsors by working in concert with corporate media rights holder and collaborating with third party partners.

  • Promotes the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program by adhering to all Departmental policies and procedures, as well as rules and regulations of the University, American Athletic Conference (AAC), and the NCAA. Ensures compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.

  • Serves as requested on campus, community, AAC and NCAA committees.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

A master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience required.

Salary:

$80,000 - $100,000 per year.
