Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. Job DescriptionCNBC, the world leader in business news, is seeking a Podcast Producer with exceptional storytelling skills and podcast production experience to support the day-to-day production and promotion of CNBCs flagship daily news podcasts and originals. The producer will also take a leading role in the development and launch of any new podcast series.
The ideal candidate will have solid business news acumen and editorial judgment, with exceptional audio production skills, and will demonstrate a strong capability to weigh in on and contribute to related podcast projects. A leading candidate will also have experience adapting TV and digital content into engaging audio-first business news stories.
PLEASE NOTE: This is ashort termposition with an estimated duration of 8 months , unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

What you'll do:
- Oversee daily workflow and production of CNBCs podcast portfolio
- Audio tape producing, including real-time scripting, and editing of live and just-aired show segments for daily news podcasts under tight deadlines
- Sort through multimedia content videos, scripts, newsletters, and more to develop, adapt, and create compelling original podcast episodes
- Produce and write scripts, including intros, teases, edited segments, descriptions, and social media posts
- Partner with editors on daily process, content, and revisions to meet publish deadlines
- Maintain an organized resource of podcast production documents including music cue sheets, master episode list, archived segments, graphics, etc.
- Lead role in development, execution, and promotion of new podcast series in partnership with anchors, reporters, producers, marketing and other mission-critical teams
- Other related production duties as required

QualificationsWhat you'll bring:
- 5 years minimum of audio production experience
- High level of skill in audio production and writing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced news environment on tight deadlines
- Proficient in Adobe Audition and familiarity with various production software and tools (e.g., iNEWS, Avid, Edius, Stratus, etc.)
- Strong audio mixing and editing experience
- Highly organized with exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to multi-task and prioritize, and capable of handling projects with minimal oversight
- Detail-oriented self-starter with strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Knowledge of CNBC's content and brand
- Avid podcast consumer, particularly of news and business stories
- Ability to navigate a complex production environment with ease
