Assistant Director of Athletic Communications & Marketing

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, game management, statistics entry, game recapping, news release and feature story writing, and the creation and management of website content (athletics.capital.edu). The candidate will create digital assets for Capital Athletics and individual sports teams, contribute to a strong digital presence through video, social media, and graphic design, and assist in the management of student office and game day staff. Evening and weekend work are required. Hours will fluctuate based on event schedule.
Compensation: The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, payable over 12 months. This position is full-time with benefits and will require the candidate to work year-round.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in sport management, communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Previous work experience in a sports information or athletic communications department is desired.
- Proven experience in video streaming, video editing, AP Style writing, graphic design, and/or social media use is required for this role.
- Additional beneficial experience may include work with Adobe Creative Suite, Sidearm Sports, Genius Live Stats, PrestoStats and/or Stat Crew.
- Applicant should have excellent communication skills.
