DUTIES OF GOLF PROFESSIONAL
Golf Professional shall use his/her best efforts to promote and advance the interests of HCC to be best of his/her ability and, except, as hereinafter set forth, shall devote his/her entire time during normal working hours to performance of his/her duties hereunder. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Professional shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise and administer operations at the HCC Pro Shop and golf course each day of the week, except Monday, during the daylight hours established by Golf Professional, subject to the reasonable approval of the HCC Manager or the HCC Board of Directors if there is not an individual in the General Manager position. In addition, Golf Professional shall extend performance of such duties to the following specified Monday National Holidays, together with such other Monday holidays as may be agreed upon between HCC and Golf Professional: (i) Presidents’ Day; (ii) Memorial Day; (iii) July 4 th , when applicable; (iv) Labor Day; and (v) Columbus Day.
- Maintain the interior of the Pro Shop in a clean, organized and attractive manner, and maintain the cart and club storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
- Provide a neat and orderly display of all signs, bulletins, notices and posters pertaining to operation of the Pro Shop, golf course and HCC in general.
- Provide and maintain an attractive display of quality merchandise for sale in the Pro Shop, including golf balls, clubs, bags, clothing, and other merchandise comparable to that maintained in other private golf and country clubs. The inventory shall be owned by the HCC.
- Ensure the availability of a Junior Golf Program.
- Supervise play on the golf course, including establishing starting times when deemed appropriate by the Professional. Maintain orderly, efficient movements of players throughout the golf course enforce golf course rules and regulations and ensure that members and guests and the general public are informed of the same as they may change from time to time.
- Ensure that lessons are available during normal working hours and, in general promote golfing activities at HCC.
- Be responsible for promoting, organizing and supervising golf tournaments, including weekly events for the members, their guests and the general public to generate revenue for the golf course and the food and beverage department.
- Supervise, manage and operate the Driving Range.
10. Maintain his/her status and show proof of current status on an annual basis as a qualified Class A Golf Professional in accordance with the requirements of the Professional Golfers Association.
11. Maintain the Handicap Reporting System provided by HCC in a fashion that meets USGA standard whereas all Members that pay the appropriate fees shall have a current and correct handicap at all times.
